National Media Group Press Release

The annual general meeting of shareholders of “National Media Group” CJSC was held today, June 22. The meeting elected a Board of Directors. At a meeting of the Board of Directors of “NMG” CJSC held the same day, Kirill Kovalchuk was elected as its chairman.

Also today, a decision was taken to create a shareholders’ Advisory Board of shareholders, led by Aleksey Mordashov (previously Chairman of the Board of Directors of “NMG” CJSC)

Information on the company

The National Media Group was formed in 2008 and is one of the biggest private media holdings in Russia, bringing together assets in key segments of the Russian media market. The Group comprises: St.Petersburg Channel 5 TV and radio station, REN TV media holding, the Izvestiya newspaper and the “Russkaya Sluzhba Novostey” radio station. NMG also owns 25% of “Channel 1” OJSC.
